I have to tell you that my hour with you has been a revelation! Thank you for the professional and excellent discussion, diagnosis, assistance and follow up link. I am most grateful to you and go off to Spain with increased confidence in dealing with my back and posture.
My transport to Liverpool Airport arrives soon hence the very early email from a rearranged desk!
Kind regards and many thanks
It was in August last year when I made the first of four appointments to see you about my sciatic nerve. At that time I did not hold out much hope of physiotherapy fixing my problem, a specially after what the consultant had told me, “we need to operate on your spine to alleviate the problem “.
The drift of this mail is to tell you that it was the best £120 I ever spent, as the excercises you gave me proved to be all that was required as all the pain in my left leg and foot are completely gone.
Please accept my heartfelt thanks, I will be forever grateful, and will recommend your practice to anyone seeking physiotherapy.
I went to see Richard after hurting my knee whilst out walking in the Lakes. During an initial assessment Richard examined my knee and noticed that I turned my right knee inwards. He suggested and demonstrated some exercises and let me have a go to make sure I knew what I was doing. When I returned after 2 weeks he reassessed and I said that I found one of the exercises boring so Richard showed me some others that I found more enjoyable. After one further visit 3 weeks later my knee is much better. Thanks to Richard for his expert advice, encouragement and explaining things so clearly. I’ll keep doing the exercises! I’d definitely go back to see Richard if I have any other injuries.
I thought I would like to put in writing my thoughts and thanks for the last 5 months of treatment. I am a 52 year old male who has had back troubles from the age of 19 when I had a laminectomy on L 4/5. For the past 30 years or so I have had pain and very uncomfortable muscle spasms. Over the past 2 years these spasms have become more and more frequent to the point where I have been hospitalized 3 times! Something had to be done! I went to see a very well regarded back surgeon in Manchester who after a full spinal scan and examination said to start with physio and a targeted exercise program. I was very skeptical to say the least. Five months on and my whole life has changed. I have had no spasm in this time, I have resumed playing golf. I feel so much better in myself and of course not taking almost endless amounts of tramadol.
Richard, many thanks for changing my life! I wish you and yours all the best for the future and should you wish, I would be happy to speak to any of your clients to explain the massive effects you can have.
Thanks Richard – that’s great. The digital instructions for the exercises are great and as usual many thanks for such a professional, expert and person- centered service
Thankfully, I’m on my feet again, walking and pain-free, thanks to two very successful sessions at the Kendal Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre. The Centre is a friendly and thoroughly professional establishment. Mary diagnosed my painful back problem and administered kind and sympathetic treatment. She also recommended some very useful exercises and printed these out for my reference. I’ve found these exercises most beneficial. I can wholeheartedly recommend Kendal Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre.
I came to Kendal Physiotherapy Centre after I had raced two seasons on the fells whilst suffering from injury. (pain in the hamstring and glut area. In fact 2016 was my best season ever, securing 3 silver team medals in the British and English Fell Championships). But my gluts were not firing which was causing pressure on my hamstrings and eventually it was too painful to contemplate any running at all.
Richard took me back to basics; taught me to run efficiently and effectively again in a way that would avoid injury. Their professionalism in achieving the best outcomes for their clients is exceptional.
Over a year after a car crash I was still in pain and unable to do things like ride my horse. I have received physiotherapy from Mary and have seen a steady improvement. She is patient, listens to you and has been reassuring and is clearly very experienced. This has helped my recovery immensely and I would recommend her very highly. It is a very relaxed atmosphere with friendly helpful staff.
